Abuse Prevention Council Announces Raffle Quilt Winner

 SHELBY, N.C. (Dec. 17, 2010) — ABUSE PREVENTION COUNCIL ANNOUNCES RAFFLE QUILT WINNER

Sheriff Alan Norman Draws Winning Ticket 

Darlene McIntyre of Shelby is the winner of the raffle quilt donated by Foothill Quilters Guild to benefit the Cleveland County Abuse Prevention Council (APC). Sheriff Alan Norman, an APC Board Director, pulled McIntyre’s winning raffle ticket from nearly 2,000 entries.  Proceeds from the raffle will support APC services for survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, and homelessness. The drawing took place at APC’s headquarters building on W. Warren Street.

APC is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, homelessness, and homemaker displacement, through safe shelter, advocacy, support services, and preventive education.
