The Lighthouse is an emergency shelter for women and their children in need of temporary assistance. It is a secure place for all women and children. We welcome women from all walks of life, regardless of age, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or lifestyle.
For many women, The Lighthouse will be their first experience with community living. There are 2 rooms with several twin sized beds in them. One is for the single women and the other for families.
Common areas include a kitchen, living room, dining room and bathrooms. A fenced backyard provides outdoor privacy.
You will have a Case Manager assigned to you during your stay to help you reach your goals.
For victims of a current domestic violence/sexual assault situation, a sheriff, local law enforcement officer, or human service agent must accompany an individual after 8 p.m. We cannot open the doors to anyone without a law enforcement escort after 8 pm. If you do not have an officer or agent with you, we will call one for you when you arrive.
